SPECIALIZED STUDY IN CRIMINAL LAW
Today, Friday, May 23, 2025, the National Criminal and Federal Correctional Court No. 12 of this City, in Case No. 1052/2022, resolved to acquit Alejandro G. Roemmers, fully and definitively exonerating him of the false accusations brought against him.
This ends three difficult years in which Mr. Alejandro Roemmers was subjected to an intense judicial investigation. During that time, Roemmers also had to endure all kinds of attacks on his privacy, his honor, and his name, due to his behavior.
The complainant’s unscrupulous and opportunistic behavior, which involved slandering and insulting him through social media and news portals, associating his name and implicating him in serious incidents.
The accusation is ridiculous: there are no victims. Only the fabricated words of the complainant, who constructed a fiction of lies. In these three years, no one has come forward as a victim before the courts, accusing Alejandro Roemmers. No one has even said they were harmed in any way by Roemmers.
It is then clear why the complainant was never able to provide a single piece of evidence to support his accusations: the facts never existed and what the complainant stated is absolutely false.
But even more serious is that witnesses in the court case have testified under oath that the complainant either pressured them or made them aware that they would obtain some financial benefit if they testified against Mr. Roemmers. Thus, not only the complainant
not only promoted a false accusation without evidence, but also instigated others to commit false testimony against Roemmers.
Legal, criminal, and civil action will be taken at the appropriate time not only against those directly responsible for this injustice, but also against those who have collaborated in publicizing the serious and unfounded accusations against Roemmers.
We make a full copy of the court ruling available to anyone who requests it.
Finally, on behalf of our client, we wish to express a serious social concern: in recent times in Argentina the malicious use of extremely serious criminal offenses – such as human trafficking – has become increasingly frequent to attack
Publicly harassing prominent figures without any evidentiary support. These practices not only threaten reputations and consume state resources, but also trivialize atrocious crimes that demand the utmost judicial and social rigor.
The unscrupulous use of these criminal offenses re-victimizes the true victims, whose real stories are diluted by false narratives used as tools of pressure or blackmail. Justice must remain a place of truth and reparation, not a platform for media speculation or an instrument of extortion.
